Office Manager

We are looking for an experienced Office Manager to join Citizens Advice York. The Office Manager is responsible to the Senior Operations Manager and the CEO for the smooth running of the office including amongst other things personnel administration and recruitment, maintaining and replacing IT and other office equipment and assisting the Finance Manager with some routine finance duties.
You will be responsible for supervising the Admin Support Assistant and Admin Support Volunteers. If you have the skills and experience for this role, we’d like to hear from you.

Office Manager Job Description
Armed Forces Covenant Sponsored Trainee
Hourly rate: £11.96
Hours: 25 hours per week
Period: TBC

The main aim of these posts is to provide high quality advice training (General Help Quality Mark standards and AQS accredited) for four people, with an aim to move them into paid advice positions within both Citizens Advice York and the wider Citizens Advice England and Wales network.
The successful applicants will complete a 25 hour per week, 12 week training course which may be undertaken both in our office and at home. The course consists of e-learning with testing, observation of experienced advisors out in the field and observed and tested advice sessions. The training will be delivered within the aims, policies and principles of the Citizens Advice Service.
Note: This job involves work with vulnerable clients and therefore Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check is required for all successful applicants.
For these roles recent (within 5 years) lived experience of the Armed Forces is essential

Advice Session Supervisor/trainer
Hourly rate: £15.39
Hours: 8 hours per week
Period: Funded until March 31st 2025

Reporting to the Senior Operations Manager, you will have direct responsibility for supervising the face to face and digital and phone advice service, project management and adviser training and development. This will entail providing both consultative support during sessions as well as checking all case write-ups ensuring CAY achieves its QAA standards.
